High-Performance Pipeline Fittings
WeldFit's pipeline fittings are available in a broad range of sizes and are manufactured using extruded outlet tees for the branch, which offers significant advantages including the elimination of the weld between the header and the branch. By comparison, fabricated fittings require more production time due to radiographically inspections.
Capabilities:
- Complete range of pipeline fittings
- Expert design & manufacturing capabilities
- Manufacturing & engineering that meet design code specifications around the globe
- Same-day/next-day delivery on many fittings up to 24" & 1480 psi
Hot Tap Fittings
WeldFit's hot tap fittings have been used successfully in thousands of hot tapping operations around the world. Consisting of a full-encirclement fitting and a weld-neck flange, our hot tap fittings are designed and manufactured to ensure the integrity of the piping system is maintained. WeldFit's full-encirclement hot tap fittings feature extruded outlets for branch sizes up to 48" and fabricated branches for larger sizes.
There are several advantages to using extruded outlet fittings, including the ability to design reinforcement into the nozzle and the elimination of the weld between the header and the branch, which is difficult to radiographically inspect. Typically the mating flange is ANSI class 150, 300, or 600; although other pressure classes and flange styles are available.
All of WeldFit's hot tap fittings are manufactured in accordance with our ISO 9001:2015 quality program and are compatible with major models of hot tapping equipment. In compliance with most pipeline design codes, all pressure containing welds are 100% radiographed.
WeldFit's standard hot tap fittings are designed to meet the requirements of ASME B31.3 and B31.4/8. Our hot tap fittings are made using a variety of material grades, from A234 Grade WPB or WPC with A105 flanges to high-yield X65 or better grades, when required. Other fitting and flange materials are available to match customer requirements and existing pipeline materials.
Hot Tap Fittings Features & Benefits
- Size-on-size or reduced branch fittings for use in hot tapping operations
- Supplied with ANSI class 150, 300, 600, 900, or 1500 flanges with raised face or RTJ grooves. Other flange classes available on request.
- Fittings available with a butt weld outlet, ready to be welded to a valve or other fitting
- Standard fittings meet the requirements of ASME B31.3 and ASME B31.4/B31.8
- Fittings with outlets through 48" NPS utilize extruded outlets, which allows for 100% radiographic examination and eliminates the stress risers inherent in welded type tees

- All pressure containing welds are 100% radiographed
- Backing strips available
- Manufactured in compliance with WeldFit's ISO 9001:2015 certified quality program
Line Stop
Fittings
WeldFit's SureLoc® Line Stop fittings are used when the removal of the tapping valve is desirable after the completion of a temporary line stop operation. Once the need for the line stop has ended and the line stop plugging head is removed, the SureLoc® plug is inserted into the SureLoc® fitting flange and locked into place by screwing the segments which drive a segmented plate to secure the plug. The O-ring on the plug creates a secure seal.
Once the SureLoc® plug is installed, the tapping and plugging equipment can be removed and a blind flange installed to complete the process. If there is a need to reinstall the line stop at a future date, the system allows a return entry by easily removing the blind flange and plug, in order to insert a plugging head.
All pressure containing welds of WeldFit's SureLoc® fittings are 100% radiographically inspected. Our standard Line Stop fittings are offered for 4" through 48" pipe sizes with ANSI Class 150, 300, and 600 flanges.
Standard SureLoc® Line Stop fittings are supplied with size-on-size branch connections suitable for typical line stop operations. However, WeldFit can supply reduced branch SureLoc® outlets for by-pass applications or for use as Hot Tap fittings when a SureLoc® flow-through plug will be installed.
WeldFit’s SureLoc® flow-through plug is used in a standard hot tap procedure. It ensures product flow through the tapping outlet, while its pig guide bars enable clear passage for the pig to move past the hole cut into the pipeline during the tapping operation. A flow-through plug is also commonly called a guide-bar plug.
